*****************************************************

A conversation overheard by me this afternoon in the Le Paris Dakar cafe on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, and transcribed verbatim.

“Why did the chicken cross the road?”

father: “To get to the other side?”

girl: “To go to knock on the door. Knock, knock.”
